Kate Wade

Kate has always enjoyed drawing and painting and was actively encouraged to do so when she was growing up in Kent.  She studied textile design at Canterbury College of Art before entering the non-creative world of 'normal' work.  Over the years she has been keen to maintain and improve her skills through classes and courses, and became more involved with painting following her move to Wiltshire in 2003.

Kate is now an established member of Wagon Yard Artists, a collective of painters and ceramic artists with a studio and gallery in the heart of Wiltshire.

Kate is predominantly known for her landscapes and seascapes, but also enjoys sketching and painting flowers, birds, still-life scenes, animals, and anything else that catches her eye.  Use of colour, composition and creating atmosphere are key priorities in her paintings, whether working in watercolours or acrylics.  The constantly changing patterns and colours of the landscape and coast ensure that there is always something new to paint.

Our Artists are able to do commission pieces. If you see a painting that is sold they will be more than happy to do something similar for you. Please contact us for more information.
